The foremost are calls about inspecting your roof for free….saying your insurance company will want your roof inspected before renewing your coverage and you’ll have to pay for that. SAY YOU’RE NOT INTERESTED AND HANG UP THE PHONE…DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Let Linda know if you do get a call. You might want to check with your insurance co. before you get such a call. Get your number on the www.donotcall.gov list. Most telemarketers will be required to stop calling you 31 days from your registration date. Talk about this with your neighbors. If solicitors come to your door…do not open your door. TELL THEM TO LEAVE…WE DO NOT ALLOW SOLICITORS IN THE PARK…AND YOU MAY CALL THE POLICE BUT AT LEAST NOTIFY THE OFFICE. I know you want to be polite but they came to you and they will say/do anything to get your approval. LADIES CLUB The Ladies Club of Emerald Lakes is open to all Ladies. We welcome you and invite you to join in on any and all of our activities.
July 7 – Ladies Club - Lunch and movie – watch for signs and sign up July 17 – Bring ‘n Share – watch for signs and sign up July 21 – 9am – Ladies Games – for all Ladies of Emerald Lakes Every Thursday at 1pm is Crafts in the Clubhouse Watch bulletin board for activities that are going on in the Park. If any questions come up in July call Gloria Prosser or Andrea Adair. I will be gone for the whole month. See you at the August 4 lunch out. Barbara McGinnis, co-President Would like to thank all the ladies who attended the Tea Party. We had 27 Emerald Lakes Ladies and it was a very nice event. Thanks to Dee Peters, Janice McAuley, Pat Demott, Peg Cross, Andrea Adair, Barbara McGinnis, Barbara Girdley, Priscella LaFevers and Bonnie Helms for the table decorations. Prizes were awarded for hats. Helen Young for most original…Andrea Adair for prettiest… Bonnie Helms for funniest. This was our 2nd summer for this event and I hope we can have this every year.
Sad to report #55 Betty Zemla passed away in June. BOOK BORROWERS You and I like to read what a book is about before we take it and read it. When a book is returned without it’s cover chances are that book will not be read by others. Lately some books are being returned without their covers. Look around and see if you returned a book without it’s cover. When borrowing a book….think of others. Larry Dodge, Librarian REMINDERS Carports are for auto parking NOT a storage area. Remove weeds/dead vegetation from your planters. Make sure the pool’s safety line is back up before you leave the pool.

MEN’S CLUB Men’s club meeting will be on Friday April 4th at 9am. All men are welcome. We will have coffee and donuts. We are going to have horseshoes, bocce and bean bag all summer if we get enough people to sign up. Our next lunch will be on April 17th, yet to be decided where to go. April 1st will be our sports banquet. April 8th is the annual fish fry. April 15th will be the boat-a-rama and a pork roast dinner.
